SSC - ARUD (ARMS RECOVERY UNIT DEVICE) SYSTEM
What is (ARUD)?
ARUD (Arms Recovery Unit Device) is a smart firearm monitoring and recovery system designed and developed by Sound Sentinel Corporation, to prevent unauthorized access and theft. It uses GPS tracking, tamper alerts, video/audio capture, and real-time notifications to protect families and communities.
How does ARUD stop unauthorized firearm use?
If a firearm is moved, tampered with, or stolen, ARUD immediately sends alerts to the owner, designated emergency contacts. Its built-in sensors capture time, location, images, and audio—dramatically improving recovery odds and preventing misuse.
Will ARUD affect the normal use of my firearm?
No. ARUD is designed to be discreet and non-intrusive in a storage space. It only activates if unauthorized movement or tampering occurs.
How does ARUD differ from current gun safety campaigns?
Unlike traditional awareness programs, ARUD provides a tangible, real-time solution. It doesn’t just spread messages, it actively prevents unauthorized access, theft, and potential tragedies and broadcast breach advisories to other ARUD users when authorised to do so.
What happens if a thief removes ARUD from the firearm case?
Even if removed, ARUD will have already captured critical evidence (time, place, visuals, and audio). Since most thefts occur within a 10 mile radius, recovery rates remain high. And the theft will activate the Community ARUD Breach Broadcast™
Is ARUD only for law enforcement?
No. ARUD is built for responsible gun owners, families, law enforcement, and communities. Anyone who owns a firearm or is responsible for securing one can benefit from its protection.
Where is ARUD being developed?
ARUD is a Canadian/US developed technology developed by Sound Sentinel Corporation, and created in partnership with leading industrial designers and safety experts. and licensed by NFSI’s IP. It is positioned as a world-class innovation in firearm safety.
When will ARUD be available?
ARUD is currently in advanced development, with prototypes scheduled for testing prior to large-scale manufacturing. With community funding support and federal partnerships, distribution to the public is projected in the next 12 -18 months.
